Per The Register:

A group of anonymous AI industry workers launched “Poison Fountain,” a project encouraging people to seed the web with subtly corrupted data to sabotage AI training. They argue AI systems are growing too fast and too dangerously, and that poisoning scraped data is one of the few effective ways to slow them down. The effort builds on research showing that even small amounts of malicious data can meaningfully degrade model performance.

Discovered this script on Mastodon via @nixCraft.

Per @nixCraft:

It removes pre installed apps, disables telemetry, and applies various other changes to improve performance on both Windows 10/11

I'm gonna try it out and post back here. Looking at the comments, it appears legit, but one should use at their own risk

Obviously, MAKE A BACK UP prior to running the script. Also, make sure you know how to restore from a backup too.

Windows did it again and forced a stupid function known as Copilot on us within a Windows update. To remove (disable) follow the the below instructions. Enabling instructions are below as well.

Because things can go awfully wrong when editing the registry, only advanced users should perform the below registry commands. Also, would be an awesome idea to back up your registry and create a restore point prior to executing the below registry commands.

After getting my amateur radio licenses (over a year ago), I switched from Linux to Windows because most software for my radios seem to only target Windows. Prior to the switch, I used Linux as my main computers (laptops and servers) for over 15 years, so this was done under extreme protest. How has it been going?

HORRIBLE!
